Misplaced Financial Priorities 

Academics on the decline with an increase in spending within school district budgets may be indicative of misplaced financial priorities. What is the focus of your district’s leadership team? Students are being shorted in their academic education. Ask to see what programs have been implemented within your district and request to see expenditures aligned with those programs to get a better understanding of what administration is spending tax dollars on. Are the tax dollars benefiting consultants? Are they being used for brick and mortar, mainly to the benefit of construction companies? Is there excessive administrative overhead? Do the funding directly impact the students?  Hoping  programs will have a side effect of increased academic achievement is a poor investment. Demand academic justice for the failed teaching gap now!
